Magic Circle (45 of 45).jpg

Hi, I’m Laurie, the proud owner of Magic Circle. Every day, I am filled with immense joy and pride in my role here. I adore working with the children and leading this incredible team is a privilege.  We collectively strive to create an environment where preschoolers learn-through-play and discovery, develop a love for learning, build self-confidence. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that each child’s early educational journey is as enriching and enjoyable as possible.

Although I am perfectly bilingual, I have a very strong French Canadian side thanks to my mom, my elementary school years in a French school, and my time at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, where I specialized in preschool education. All of this is a significant asset when teaching the children and fostering a bilingual environment at Magic Circle.

As a mother of 3 beautiful children, I have a personal connection to Magic Circle. Two of my children attended this preschool, and it was through their experiences that I fell in love with the program. Witnessing firsthand the positive impact it had on their development cemented my dedication to the mission and values we uphold at Magic Circle.

Hi, I'm Miss Samantha, and I am absolutely thrilled to begin another wonderful year at Magic Circle!

I work with all the children, and I am especially excited to be the lead educator for the 3-year-old class (the turtles), once again. I graduated from Concordia with a degree in Child Studies, and I am proud to say this is my 13th year as a preschool educator. I’ve had the pleasure of working at Orchard House and as an integration aid in several schools.

Ever since I was young, I have loved working with the preschool age group and I always knew this was my passion.

I have 3 amazing kids of my own, and when I’m not teaching, I’m usually at a hockey rink or enjoying time with my family and my many nieces and nephews. I can’t wait to make this year a fantastic and memorable one for all of us!

Hi! I'm Mme Carmela, and I've had the joy of being part of Magic Circle Preschool for over 22 years. As one of the French teachers here, I still find immense delight in engaging with the children, especially at this age. I love diving into puzzles with them, dressing up together in the dramatic play corner, and sitting alongside them as they navigate activities at our quiet puzzles and logic tables. I work with both the 3 & 4 year old classes.

I did "almost" retire, but my passion for children and the  program at Magic Circle didn't allow for that stage of my life yet.

My passion lies in upholding the unique qualities and values that define Magic Circle's special approach to learning, while also eagerly embracing and integrating new concepts and ideas. It's a privilege to be part of a community where tradition and innovation beautifully coexist.

My name is Miss Helen and I am thrilled to be teaching at Magic Circle Preschool!

My formal education is as an elementary school teacher and this is my 16th year teaching, in which I have gained experience across all grade levels. I will be mostly with the turtles this year however I will also work with dolphins.

Originally from the United Kingdom, I moved to Canada twenty-one years ago after meeting my husband Jason, who was playing professional hockey there.

I am a mom of two active boys, Owen and Luke, so a great deal of my time is spent either in an arena or at a baseball diamond.

Since moving to Montreal seven years ago, I’ve enjoyed tutoring and substitute teaching at various preschools and elementary schools in the area. I’m now thrilled to have found a home at Magic Circle, where I have the joy of helping create an engaging environment for children to grow, explore, and develop a love of learning.

In addition to my role in the preschool program, I also lead the Magic Circle STEM class. Each week, we read books, build, experiment, and dive into hands-on activities that help the children discover how STEM is all around us.

Our educators are highly involved
